Covenant (or Holy Covenant)
The signing of this covenant will mark the official start of the Antichrist’s seven-year reign and the last seven years before Jesus returns (Daniel 9:27). Because the pact is called a “holy covenant” (Daniel 11:28, 30), it appears to have religious elements, perhaps provisions that Jerusalem will be declared an international city with free and equal access guaranteed to people of all faiths. The covenant will likely make it possible for the Jewish people to rebuild their temple on Mount Moriah in Jerusalem and reinstate its religious rituals (2 Thessalonians 2:3–4; Daniel 8:11-13).
